About Clarivoy

Clarivoy is a marketing technology company in the automotive industry, delivering unified, unbiased multi-touch attribution intelligence to advertisers, publishers, and agencies. We apply advanced data engineering and statistical modeling to measure and improve the effectiveness of advertising, empowering our clients to understand their shoppers, optimize their marketing, and generate more sales.

About the Role

We are looking for a senior architect to own the technical direction of Clarivoy's next-generation platform on Google Cloud. This is a hands-on, DevOps-heavy role. You will build infrastructure with Pulumi and Python, run a private GKE environment, and help land an in-flight PostgreSQL migration to AlloyDB. The platform design, migration plan, and runbooks already exist; your job is to execute, operate, and extend them.

You will also modernize our existing estate: a large portfolio of Python services and Airflow jobs, plus the browser tracking tags we deliver to client websites. Both need to move onto modern CI/CD and, over time, onto the new platform. You will set the technical standards the rest of the team follows.

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the GCP platform architecture: VPC networking, private GKE, AlloyDB, BigQuery, all managed with Pulumi in Python
  • Take the AlloyDB re-platform through parallel run and cutover, then own day-2 database operations
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for our containerized services (FastAPI, React, Python batch jobs)
  • Operate and harden Kubernetes workloads: deployments, certificates, load balancing, autoscaling
  • Keep the security posture tight: private networking, IAP access, least-privilege IAM, secrets management
  • Set observability and reliability standards: logging, metrics, alerting, backup and recovery
  • Modernize our Python data services and the Airflow pipelines that orchestrate them
  • Automate legacy delivery pipelines, including the browser tag SDK we ship through S3 and CloudFront
  • Guide application architecture for the dashboard (FastAPI back end, React/TypeScript front end)
  • Evaluate new tooling, including AI and MCP integrations, where it actually helps the product

Job requirements

Skills & Qualifications

Required

  • 7+ years in software or infrastructure engineering, with at least 3 in an architect, platform, or lead DevOps role
  • Deep hands-on GCP experience: GKE, VPC design, AlloyDB or comparable managed Postgres, BigQuery, IAM
  • Infrastructure-as-code experience; Pulumi strongly preferred, our platform is Pulumi in Python
  • Strong Python for production services and automation
  • Solid production PostgreSQL: query tuning, schema migrations, backup and recovery
  • Production Kubernetes, including CI/CD pipeline design and Docker
  • Workflow orchestration in production, Airflow preferred
  • A track record of modernizing legacy systems without breaking production
  • Enough TypeScript/React to review and contribute to the front end
  • Clear written communication; comfortable on a remote, async-first team

Nice to Have

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Math
  • Ad-tech or marketing-analytics experience: attribution, pixel and tag deployment, web tracking
  • AWS familiarity (S3, CloudFront); a small part of our legacy stack runs there
  • Treasure Data or other customer data platforms
  • LLM API integration (Anthropic/Claude) or MCP tooling
  • BigQuery cost and performance tuning

Location

This is a fully remote role, open to candidates anywhere in the United States. Occasional travel for team meetups or industry events.
